GET TO KNOW YOUR "COMPANY"

Hi

The way I see it, a human being is rather like a company.

Let me explain -

Each one of us is a spiritual being - that’s the executive. (ie ‘the boss’), trying to operate a body (our workforce) through a mind (middle management) with the help (or sometimes hindrance) of the emotions (various rolls - liaison /human resources/ trade union etc).

This is how it SHOULD work:

1 The executive (spiritual being or "I") sends a memo to his general manager (the mind) saying "This is what I want."

2 The manager receives the instruction and immediately begins to figure out ways to make it happen. The manager draws on available data (education and experience), and on feedback from the emotions, of enthusiasm, fear, boredom or other feelings. It is the duty of the manager to advise the executive whether carrying out the instruction would be good or bad for the "company"(ie the person). The manager says "This is now we’ll get it,"

3 The executive can override the management if necessary.

4 Unless the executive withdraws or modifies the instruction, the manager programs it into the system and the workforce (body) takes steps (sometimes literally) to make things happen on a physical level. It doesn’t say much, it acts. It gets the job done.

That’s when everything runs smoothly! As we all know, the best laid plans can go awry in so many ways. For one thing, each part of this "Personal Company" must know, and be comfortable with it’s role in the whole picture. Another thing is that for the whole thing to run like a well-oiled machine, all the parts must be able to interface and willing to work together.

With this in mind, my blog will contain articles relating to the Health, Wealth and Happiness of the body, mind, spirit and emotions.

For example, though most entries under the "Health" heading will be concerned with physical fitness and lifestyle, they will also include posts on mental, emotional and - yes - even spiritual health (and growth).

Likewise, we’ll talk about physical wealth (money, possessions), mental wealth (knowledge), emotional wealth (the ability to feel and express a wide range of emotions) and spiritual wealth (overwhelming love and abundance).

Happiness, one would think, must surely follow if one has all the aforementioned areas aligned.
This heading covers all the fun stuff - hobbies, interests, creative endeavours, amusements etc. All the things that can raise our vibration, facilitating changes for the better in all areas.

Using our analogy of the "Personal Company", Happiness could be called the Payroll Department. It provides both reward and motivation.

Everything works together to fulfill the wishes of and provide experiences for the spirit.

And that’s quite enough, I think, for now.

To your health, wealth and happiness,

Sylvie (Sylvia Richards)

What a brilliant idea, to use the day to day challenges we face at work to help understand the inner workings of our mind and body. Great first blog, I look forward to more to follow!!

Thanks Paul. You've totally hit the nail on the head. And it works the other way round too - day to day challenges will become easier to deal with if all our "parts" are working in harmony.
